Backpacking Greece

Athens, Greece – Where the name Kosta is no longer the minority

From the scrubby clothes necessary for the adventures, jungles and slums of Asia; I now switch gears and adapt to the cultures of Greece!! The emotions felt as I leaped off the plane were through the roof! After being raised my whole life a die hard, traditional Greek and to finally be touching the land where my ancestors once roamed, was a very proud and intrinsically powerful  moment.

It’s weird but the greek my Yiayia taught me when I was a youngin is started to dust itself off from the archives and into reality;) I find myself understanding aloooooot more than I can speak, however coming from Asia where I was damn near walking around deaf and dumb due to the language barrier, you can only imagine how confident and willing to get wild I am here. Kind of random, but I was walking around downtown yesterday looking to stuff my gut with an authentic Gyro and out of no where a lady approached me with her card, offering me to join a international men’s physique competition! It was like the universe was working with me and that I was “meant to be” in Greece, at this time in my life. I’m currently looking at volunteering gigs through organizations like workaway.info and helpx.com because I’m thinking about committing a good amount of time here but it’s just so damn expensive!

A wise man once told me that I was the reincarnated soul of Achilles... but I don't know;) (me and eli)
